The Tim Aaron Band exists to connect people to the story of God. We were made to celebrate the story of God. We live every day to contribute to the story of God, knowing that God is the main character of the story, and we are not. We believe it is our responsibility to give God His due glory by using our gifts in every opportunity He allows, for His fame, for His renown, for our part of the story.
The Tim Aaron Band started in August 2007, serving the local church and community in a number of events, including local church assemblies, festivals, Fellowship of Christian Athletes' Retreats and Camps, and the Iowa Christian Academy's Fall and Spring Retreats. God has uniquely knitted our musical talents and relational lives and has given us a passion to lead others in a progressive, dynamic, rock and roll flared and vertically focused style of worship. Their first CD release, a five song EP, hit the charts hard in July 2008.

Thank You Once Again, FCA! We had a great week once again with our friends from the FCA in Pella. We loved every night with you as you blew us away with your voices. That place was loud! We had a new face on stage helping us out (thanks Haverlee!), and got to know the Applebee's in Pella like we lived there. TAB knows how to bring it to the local dining!
While we mourn the tragedy of the two boys who lost their lives at camp, we still know that our God is greater than any other and we worshiped like our lives depended on it. Our hearts go out to the families of the boys and to the staff at FCA. So now what? So you're asking yourself, "Self, what's the TAB going to do with the bass guitar spot now that Jay's moved to Minnesota?"
We have an answer for your self. Nothing.
While we're going to miss the rock n' roll extravaganza that was the former TAB, we are now working it out as a three piece and doing so pretty well. We're excited to rework our material while still bringing people off their feet and bringing the same enthusiasm and energy you've come to expect from your TAB boys. We're more acoustic jam, but still electric noise and killin' it with some fresh takes on some classic TAB tracks. We have no plans to replace Jay, just seeing God steer us in a slightly different direction and taking His lead all the way. Come see for yourself!
What'dya do with Jay?!? We would like to extend our sincerest congrats to our good buddy and bass player extraordinaire Jay Safford. Jay has taken a youth pastor position at Wadena Evangelical Church in Wadena, Minnesota. We are excited for the journey Jay and Joan and the kids are on, and look forward to hearing the cool God stories that he'll get to be a part of! We're gonna miss him greatly, he always brought the house down bringing the thunder bass and brought us to our knees in laughter, but we're also 100% behind him. And of course, we'll miss the greatest band manager/wife we've ever had in Joan!
We wish them all the best.....
Say wha?!?!? I know, I know. We don't do very well keeping up with the news here..... forgive us, eh?!?
Well much is happening in TAB land. So here's our promise to try to do better than we've done in the past keeping you informed. And we accept your promise to visit our site often and keep up on our informing.
Cheers,
TAB
